As I was reading other people's posts and thinking what has happened in my life since I posted last, my first thought was that nothing had happened worth reporting. Now, a week later, I realize that something did happen! I got old! OLD! I had my 30th birthday! It was an awesome day.....actually week. Rod made sure that I celebrated every day for a week. On the Friday before my birthday, Rod was sweet enough to watch the kids and send me out to Willard Bay on a dog date with Sasha, Mishka, and his brother-in-law Gary. Gary loves dogs as much I do but doesn't have any, so we went out together and enjoyed a day with the dogs running free around the bay. Such a pretty day and so much fun! The next day, Rod surprised me yet again with a trip to the zoo and temple square! On Sunday, he again surprised me again with a good friend coming over for dinner and a decorated house! Monday was a busy day, but Tuesday he made me an Italian dinner, Wednesday (my actual birthday) was a Young Author's Fair at the school and the kids had written poems for me for the occasion, plus cake and ice cream. Thursday was a Chinese Dinner and flowers at work, plus a Happy Birthday Becky on the marque. Friday was a junior high play that a cousin was in, again Rod watched the kids and I went with two of his aunts. Saturday was the annual Hutchins' Girls Day Out trip to Logan and dinner at Maddox. Again, my sweet husband watched the kids. By Sunday I was just about birthday-ed out, but it was way fun. So, thanks to Rod for making my 30th birthday so fun!
So, now I have to settle down and accept being old. And, to top it all off, tomorrow John turns 10! I have a kid in DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!! If turning 30 is not old, then having a kid that old is!!!!!!!

Sounds like great fun. Rod sure would know how to celebrate a birthday--he's had so many of them! :-) haha.
